The Great Carrot Incident of 2008

Faith Anne was in the hospital because she asperated a piece of a carrot into her lung. We spent 3 days in the hospital, fortunately UMC in Tucson was wonderful and made the stay bearable.

Faith Anne the morning of surgery.

Faith Anne pondering how she could have avoided this situation.

Waiting for more x-rays.

She was in pretty good spirits considering she hadn't eaten since lunch the day before, well except for the carrot at 3pm.

I think her face explains it all.

Ashley and Aunt Kelli came to visit after her surgery.

All was fine after her surgery and they found the infamous carrot. Once she woke up she had a hard time but then she got a popcicle and she started to feel much better. She still had some breathing problems so they kept her over night but she was released around 11:00 the next day and was able to make it to her soccer camp for the last day.
