Fruit Harvest

Picking the apricots.

Showing off the "harvest"

Small but good

We started our summer school today and our first lesson is appropriately Creation, where it all started. We are trying a new method of homeschooling called Lapbooks. Anyhow the timing is perfect because we needed to pick the apricots and plums off our fruit trees before the birds got them. So this evening after dinner the girls and I went out side got to discuss the coolness of God's creations and how He created the trees with fruit on them to provide us with nourishment.

(Mommy you will be very happy to know that I took the time to spell check this time!)

I always knew I was unique:)

Our New Car

Here is our new car. It is a 2001 Dodge Durango with a V8 engine and 3rd row seating. It rides so nicely and is so quiet yet poweful. It is so much easier to take the kids in too. Dave and I are so happy with it.

Yard Improvement

During Daves Vacation we did a little yard work to help make things look better.

This is that little platform we have just as you pull into our yard. You can see in this picture all the work Dave has sone to take back the dirt wall that has slide from the rain.

I have bee working on pruning the bushes and trees and adding flowers. Once we finish the retaining wall we plan to put grass up there. A little more inviting then dirt and weeds.

I forgot to take the "before" pictures so this is the "in the processes" picture but you can see the eye sore it was.

After Dave removed the dying plants and weeds, raked and restacked the rocks the girls and I planted the flowers and then spread colored mulch.

This is the area down the driveway between the carport and Gate.
